About the Compound

Tirzepatide is a synthetic dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist, and one of the most closely watched compound classes in current metabolic research. By acting on both the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR) and the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R), it engages two distinct incretin pathways at once.

Research has examined energy intake, insulin sensitivity and metabolic signalling under dual-agonist conditions.
