Every product is independently tested for purity before it ships, with additional analyses performed when possible. This page explains exactly what we test, how to store your research compounds, and how to reconstitute them correctly.

01 — Testing Protocol

How we verify our products

No product enters our catalogue without completing independent third-party purity testing. Additional analyses — molecular mass and endotoxin screening — are performed when possible. We publish the actual results as a Certificate of Analysis on our Lab Results page, rather than simply declaring a "pass."

High-performance liquid chromatography measures the purity of the compound against a reference standard. Our specification is ≥99%. We publish the exact figure, not just a pass mark.

How to read a COA

A Certificate of Analysis is the primary accountability document in research-compound supply. Where a product has completed testing, its COA is published on our Lab Results page. Here's what each section tells you.

Batch number
Where available, a COA is batch-specific, and the batch number on your vial should match it. A generic certificate not tied to a specific batch carries less weight. If a batch number doesn't exist for a given test, we won't fabricate one — the COA reflects that.

HPLC purity — the key number
Look for the actual percentage, not just "pass." We publish the real result (e.g. 99.2%) because it shows we're comfortably within spec, not squeaking past it.

Mass confirmation
LC-MS provides independent identity confirmation beyond purity. It catches truncated sequences and structural isomers that a purity test alone cannot distinguish.

Endotoxin result
A critical safety marker measured in EU/mg, often omitted by other suppliers entirely. Our specification is <5 EU/mg — see the Lab Results page for the actual measured result on batches where this test has been completed.
03 — Storage Guidelines

Maintaining compound integrity

Improper storage is the most common cause of peptide degradation outside the laboratory. These guidelines apply to all Pacific Peptides lyophilized products unless the specific product page states otherwise.

04 — Reconstitution Protocol

Gather materials
Bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol), sterile syringe, 70% IPA swabs, and your sealed vial at room temperature.

Sterilise stoppers
Wipe the rubber stoppers of both vials with 70% IPA and allow to air-dry for 30 seconds. Don't touch them afterward.

Add solvent slowly
Direct the liquid stream down the inside glass wall — never onto the lyophilized powder directly. Add slowly.

Dissolve gently
Gently swirl — do not shake or vortex. The powder should dissolve within 60–120 seconds. The solution should be clear.

Label & store
Label with compound, batch, date, and concentration. Keep refrigerated and use within 28 days.
