About the Compound

Retatrutide is a synthetic triple agonist targeting the GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptors — the broadest receptor engagement profile of any compound currently in this research class. It represents the third generation of incretin-based research compounds, following single-receptor agonists such as semaglutide and dual agonists such as tirzepatide.

The addition of glucagon-receptor activity distinguishes it from dual agonists and is the focus of ongoing metabolic and energy-balance research.
